Not An Accident!
Those Who Find The One Who Is With Us And Will Save Us!
Those Who Believe In The One Who Offers Peace And Security!
Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there. John 19: 42
It seems careless.
That they just put Jesus’s body in some tomb.
Just because it was nearby.
Just because it was convenient.
But it wasn’t an accident.
It wasn’t an accident that Jesus was crucified on that day.
It wasn’t an accident where Jesus was crucified.
It wasn’t an accident that the tomb was nearby.
For God had been planning this day since the beginning of time.
For God had specifically chosen this day in time.
For God had specifically chosen this location.
For God had specifically chosen this tomb.
For each detail is written about through the Bible before it happened.
We can know what Jesus was going to be and do through lives of every prophet, through the life of Moses, through the words written in the Psalms. and even the very words God spoke to people at the beginning of time.
That Jesus was killed in a garden.
For God told mankind we would surely die, in a garden. (Genesis)
We find that this tomb was one that no one had ever laid in.
Because God is showing us that no one before Him could ever bear this burden.
That it was the Day of Preparation.
For Jesus, His sacrifice was Preparation to send the Holy Spirit down to the World, the seal of eternal forgiveness, and entrance into God’s Forever Kingdom, the One that would call and offer all mankind this free gift.
So God planned the tomb to be nearby.
That would meet all His requirements and fulfill all He promised.
May we know that we know that we know God is in the details.
May we know that we know that we know the details are there to show us God’s faithful character to fulfill His words.
May we know that we know that we know that as we see the details of how everything worked out as God planned, we can apply this learning to our lives and our situations, trusting God in what at times seems like careless accidents in our lives, finding that each detail is actually God’s divine plan in our lives to bring about the best good for us.
