Praising Through
Those Who Find Even If The Mountains Fall Down Around Us, We Shall Not Fear!!
Those Who Continually Offer A Sacrifice of Praise to the Lord!!
In all this Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing. Job 1: 22
Job just had the worst day ever!!
He lost everything he had.
Everything he had worked for all his life.
He had been faithfully following God.
He was a faithful worshipper of God.
And then in one day, everything was gone in a moment.
Job is important for all of us to learn from in so many ways.
First he shows us how a Godly person reacts to trouble in our lives.
He holds his tongue against God.
For me someone who works in science, I spent way too much of my life, always saying what I saw.
Then I would add but…
But I found that this at times this way, I could lead myself, talking myself into darkness.
Because I kept focusing on what I saw, what I felt, what I experienced.
Which then made it take longer for me to get to trusting God with all my circumstances.
It was equal to the Israelites grumbling in the deserts.
Focused on the natural.
Not focused on, trusting in God as our Father.
Not trusting in His words.
Not trusting in His promises.
Not trusting in His faithfulness to provide.
Not trusting in His good plan, His leading.
Job didn’t even need to do this to encourage himself.
Job had so much trust in God, that he simply accepted all the tragedy as God’s will and praised Him.
So when we see Job, when see Job doing this, we start to see a much bigger lesson.
That Job is foreshadowing for us, our beautiful Messiah.
That He would suffer the greatest tragedy in a day.
That our Messiah would lose everything in a day.
That our Messiah would continue to praise God, through the suffering.
That our Messiah would surrender, obey to the worst of crimes and never stop praising God our Father.
Both Job and our Messiah—Jesus Christ—after their suffering, after their trial, not only received all of their blessings back and more but they also got something so much greater!
Job got an intimate unbelievable intervention from God Himself who publicly vindicated Job, in front of all his friends, his family, in front of all of Heaven and Earth, all those from that generation and all people to ever come after him. showing out his integrity to worship Father God through suffering.
Job also got to be a positive example for all people to come, being associated with the greatest most powerful part of what our Messiah would do in this season of life, worship God, obey God through suffering, that would recognize Him—Jesus— when He came!!
Now Job was just a man.
Jesus was and is the Son of God, the Messiah, God with us.
Jesus received this too but better.
For God spoke over Jesus publicly, multiple times, multiple places, God’s audible voice speaking over Him, lauding Him, blessing Him, declaring the deep intimate, relationship God the Father has with His Beloved Son.
And God raising Jesus from the Tomb and then back to Heaven vindicated Jesus, allowing Him to send us all His Spirit, the Holy Spirit to come live with us, and spread Jesus’s vindicating truth for all humanity to come to know Him and receive Him.
May we know that we know that we know that God calls us to Praise Him for the worst of the worst in our lives that we be like our Messiah—Jesus!!
May we know that we know that we know when we obey, like our Messiah, like Job did, and praise God, God our Father in the worst, we will find that we like they, we will get a blessing seeing a good ending to this.
May we know that we know that we know no matter our current circumstances today, we can have the best ending for eternity, by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, which enters us into a double portion of life with God, face to face in His Kingdom that will wash away, nullify, all the pain and make everything new. kathlynn
