So Daniel prospered in the reign of King Darius. Daniel 6: 28
Daniel was an exile in Babylon.
He served under 4 different kings.
And through His life, we get to see how God showed out over and over again in this man’s life, during his journey on earth.
That Daniel’s life got to be a testimony of the One True God.
That Daniel’s life got to reveal to these Kings who the One True God was.
That Daniel’s life got to be a testimony of what God offered all people who follow Him.
That Daniel’s life got to reveal what God was going to offer all people who were to come later, Jesus Christ, the Savior, the Messiah.
The one who gives us wisdom and understanding beyond compare.
The one who saves us from the fires of eternal death.
The one who makes us innocent before God in the courts of Heaven.
The one who saves us from the lions and from eternal death.
King Darius is the final King that Daniel served under.
This is the season where Daniel is put in the lion’s den.
For Daniel refused to stop praying to God, the One True God and obey a law that required him to pray to the king instead.
Daniel was found praying to God, asking for wisdom on what to do about this command.
And so was required to be thrown in the lions den as punishment for obeying God, instead of the earthly worldly king.
But the lion’s did not eat Daniel.
For God shut the mouth of the lions.
For God created creation and has power over all animals and creatures.
And since Daniel was faithfully worshipping God, God did not let the intended harm to come him.
He was found alive and well the next day.
This led the King to be saved, believing in the One True God.
This led the King to share the news of the One True God all around the world.
That this led Daniel to prosper for the rest of the reign of this King.
God used this trial to reveal Himself to this king, and show us all that God has the power to save His faithful children.
For God sent us Jesus, the Jewish Messiah to save all those who choose to follow Him.
That Jesus going to the cross, giving up His life for ours, saves us from a death that is to come for all those who don’t believe.
That if we believe in Jesus Christ, we are not only saved from the lions to come in this life, but from eternal separation from God.
That we are saved and given eternal life in God’s Forever Kingdom of Life and Love.
That when we choose to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, we have now been saved from the eternal lion’s dens of darkness, and suffering.
That now we live, protected by the One True God.
That we will now prosper under the reign of the True King, The Eternal King, King, Jesus the Messiah.
May we know that we know that we know that we can see God through the lives of His faithful ones, His character, His faithfulness to us, as we look to the experiences of those in the Bible, like Daniel.
May we know that we know that we know each story is to reveal Jesus Christ, our Messiah to us, what He offers, that we would follow and worship the One True God, and receive His life offering forever protection in His Kingdom.
May we know that we know that we know if we have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we will be saved from any lions dens, while others will see and learn from us of the Only Real King, King Jesus, as we prosper through Him, with Him, In His Presence of health, of healing, of joy, of peace, filled with youth, learning, and wisdom beyond all understanding, in His Kingdom, where we will forever belong, as forever family.
