Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the Heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1: 3

Paul is writing to the Ephesian church.
This scripture is part of his introduction of this whole letter, written to this church.
This letter that we divided into six chapters much later in time.

While He is addressing this letter to believers, those who have claimed Jesus Christ as Lord, Paul outlines how we believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord.
He does this in every letter.
Because God knew that people would read these letters much later, those who had not yet believed.
That reading these truths would lead others to receive and believe in the One True God, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.

This letter is meant for encouragement of the believers and to make sure everyone was on the same page.
That they all and that we all, would have the same understanding of our faith in Jesus Christ.

In this specific scripture above he is outlining our confidence that we should live in.
That we are already blessed.
For if we have received Jesus Christ, then we have already received our promise of an eternal spirit.
That we have already received our promise of an eternal home, place, space in God’s Kingdom of life.
That though we have not seen it with our physical eyes, he is reminding us that this is a spiritual truth, spiritually seen truth.
That God has already covered us with His blessings.
That He wanted to reassure those who believe then and now, that we are blessed.
That we are covered, saved, seen as holy, righteous, loved by God in Heaven.
That this is our present reality, when we have believed.

May we know that we know that we know the moment we claim Jesus Christ as Lord, we become part of the eternal family of Christ, God.

May we know that we know that we know the moment we claim Jesus Christ as Lord, we are now covered with God’s forgiveness, grace and mercy.

May we know that we know that we know we can all live in this assurance that we have a forever home, a forever good name, a forever connection with the Father of Creation, the moment we spoke Jesus is Lord over ourselves.
