Scattered Seeds-Good Soil
Planters of the Most Precious Treasure!
Sought After Pearls of Great Price!
When a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, He told this parable. A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. Luke 8: 4-5
We like this farmer are all called to scatter seed.
We are called to scatter the seed of truth, that Jesus is the Messiah, that Jesus died for our sins.
That some will trample it.
Some will tend it.
And some will be the good soil and receive a crop from it, a hundred fold.
Jesus Himself is telling us this parable.
That we would not get discouraged but be encouraged.
For the the Maker of Heaven and Earth is so good, He gives all people an opportunity to know about the saving Grace and eternal plan for humanity.
And He is letting us know that not all will receive this truth.
Or at least not all will receive it at the time we toss it out to them.
That we may even encounter people who want to trample on this truth.
But God wants us to know that He knows that.
But God wants us to know that this happened to Him.
But God wants us to know how big His love is, for us, and for those who don’t yet know Him, or even know about Him, or even want to know about Him, that we would keep scattering this truth about the Only Way to Get To Him, that they would finally hear and be saved too.
That God is doing a bigger work in them and in us.
For He is teaching us, that He is in charge of all people’s timing.
We all have moments in time where we did not receive something, not realizing it was for our good, or good for us.
But God in His goodness, Has sent out a vast army, of people who have been trained to walk in love, who have been trained to bless those who curse them, who pray for those who persecute them, to keep loving on them, praying for them, believing for them, scattering seed to them and for them, until they are finally ready to be the good soil, they were always called to be, Sons and Daughters of the Most High God.
This is all part of His bigger plan to reach many of us, who needed seeds thrown to us, over and over and over and over again, until we were willing to receive it.
And God in His goodness is telling us not to be discouraged as we go out sow this good word of Jesus Christ near and far.
For He knows that each time we sow, there are those who wont receive it at that time.
But that others will, who are the good soil ready to receive.
But until someone becomes that good soil ready to receive, God has sent out an army—each one of us that believe,—that as we constantly sow the truth of Jesus Christ, what He did for us all, that each time, there will be people who either trample, tend, and receive and produce.
But if you are doing this, and I am doing this, and everyone around us is doing this, we are going to keep covering those who at first may have trampled the word, and see them finally become the good soil, that produces a hundred fold.
May we know that we know that we know God wants each and everyone of us to receive His healing truth of the good news of Jesus Christ.
May we know that we know that we know, we should be encouraged each time we share our faith, no matter the results, for God is working and moving.
May we know that we know that we know, God is author and finisher of each one of ours faith and He will bring it to completion.
May we know that we know that we know, seeds grow underground in the dark and that maybe that loved one you are scattering seed to has received the word more than you know and it is growing in the dirt and we just haven’t seen it yet.
