Seed Bearing Fruit
Creations of the Great I Am!

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds”. And it was so. Genesis 1: 11
My sister texted me this morning an image of the day three needlepoint she has been making me for the last year.
She has already made me, along with my mother, Day 1, “Let there be light” and Day 2, “Let the waters separate”.
I have them hanging on my wall as some of my favorite artwork.
As I admired the image she sent me, looking at all the lush green trees and plants, I thought yes, God produced life, food, provision, the life that all humans need on Day 3!
Provision for humans before He made humans.
So I opened my Bible to Genesis.
I noticed God says seed bearing plants.
And it hit me.
Seed bearing plants are fruit.
We are all called to produce the fruit of faith, that proves we are followers of Jesus.
Producing the fruit of faith, simply means we believed and received Jesus Christ as Lord, then the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us.
He is the seed-bearing plant, the fruit of our faith that lives inside us.
And He is seed bearing, because He works through us to teach us the truth of the gospel and He spreads the seeds of this truth to everyone around us.
Even if that is simply being love, or peace, to those around us, we are spreading the seeds of the gospel.
So on the third day, God created the very thing that all humans will need for life, for eternal life.
Which is why Jesus had to be in the tomb three days before rising. Because the third day is when we can then receive the fruit of our faith, the Holy Spirit to come live inside us.
So God was preparing us even through creation to recognize that we would need what Jesus offered, through His death and resurrection from death.
That would bring all people life—the fruit, seed-bearing fruit—that all people have the option to eat, receive.
That this life that produces life inside us, that feeds us truth, that brings seeds of faith to us and through us.
Adam and Eve did not eat of this fruit.
They ate fruit from another tree that brought death to all people.
But because of Jesus and His sacrifice-which God shows us He was preparing us for since the very beginning of time-that we can eat the fruit of faith, life, the seed bearing fruit that brings life to us and through us-belief in Jesus’s sacrifice.
May we know that we know that we know we can all eat of the fruit of Jesus’s sacrifice, believing what He did that feeds us and gives us eternal life.
May we know that we know that we know God, our Father, has been preparing us to receive Jesus perfect sacrifice, before He even made mankind (day 6).
May we know that we know that we know God always provides for His children, everything we need, at times even before we even ask or know we need it.
May we know that we know that we know the goodness of God, that He wants everyone see the gift of fruit, from Jesus, that all would receive and believe and be saved.
