Singing For Joy!!!
Those Blessed With Abundant Provision!!
Those Ever Satisfied With Food From The Lord!!
I will clothe her priests with salvation and her faithful people will ever sing for joy. Psalm 132: 16
The writer of this Psalm is reminding themselves of God’s promises.
He is talking about Israel specifically.
The priests had very specific clothing for the temple.
It was what allowed them to be in God’s presence in the temple.
Their clothing which all testified on how we, all people, are allowed to live in God’s presence.
Being clothed with Jesus, His sacrifice, His works, His Spirit.
The Psalmist is actually prophesying for all the people of Israel to be saved one day.
For the Israelites, the Hebrews, were all called to be the Priests of The Lord.
It’s why the Bible starts with them.
It’s why Jesus the Messiah comes through them,
They were all called to be His Priests.
While only a small number believed in the beginning when the Messiah came, in the end the whole nation of Israel will believe, be saved and lead those in the end times to know the Messiah.
That all their priests—all their nation—will be clothed with salvation, saved by knowing and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord.
But this also testifies of all people who receive Jesus Christ as Lord, now in this season and anytime during the church age, whether Jew or Gentile.
That when we believed in Jesus Christ as Lord, we became His Priests clothed in salvation, clothed in Jesus, His Works, His Holiness, His eternal Spirit.
Because when we believe, then we are called to tell everyone around us too, becoming His Priest.
And He is telling us that we will ever sing for joy!!!
Meaning the Kingdom that we have entered into, where we live in God’s presence will lead us to sing for joy, forever!
For this Kingdom is a kingdom of life, of health, of healing, of peace, where death and sickness no longer exist, where the land will prosper, where our work is a pleasure, where we will learn new amazing things and take on new incredible challenges that will yield to us and bless everyone around us, where we will be reunited with long lost family members who loved the Lord too, seeing them youthful, healthy, made new.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus offers us this Kingdom where we will truly sing for joy forever.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus offers all people this right now, today, to believe in Him and enter into His Kingdom, God’s presence right now, by speaking out that “we believe and receive Jesus Christ as Lord.”
May we know that we know that we know though God has promised us and shown He is going to redeem His people Israel back to Him at the end, we still have an opportunity and obligation to bless those who suffered —for generation after generation to be our examples that we could be blessed entering into this kingdom— that we tell them about Jesus as often as possible that they believe too, for no one knows when the end of times will come, nor when our end comes.
