How To Receive!!!
Those Who Have Received Our Seal, Our Entrance, Our Proof, To Our Forever Family!
Those Who Will Live Forever In The Eternal Eden With The Maker, The Creator, The Lover of Our Souls!!!
And I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. John 14: 16
Jesus had said If you love me keep my commands.
Then He tells us He will ask the Father and give us the Holy Spirit.
The Bible interpreters used the word “and” at the beginning of this sentence.
When the word in the Greek can actually mean “but, even, indeed, also”.
So it makes it sound like if we keep His commands then He gives us the Holy Spirit.
But in Luke 11 He promises that anyone who asks for the Holy Spirit will be given Him.
That the Holy Spirit is a gift.
That the Holy Spirit is given to everyone who asks.
That the Holy Spirit is actually a gift to help us follow God.
That we needed this new heart, this new Spirit to follow God.
That this advocate, this helper, is what reconnects us back to God, through Jesus Christ.
That this advocate, this helper, is who gives us the desires to want to obey Jesus, God.
We read later in Acts that the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey Him-God (Acts 5: 32).
So if we need the Holy Spirit to call us, and we need Him to lead us to obey Jesus’s commands, then God is telling us the obedience that we need to be given the Holy Spirit is to believe in the One God sent, Jesus.
That we receive Him as Lord.
We see this in Acts 10 with Cornelius the first Gentile converts.
Cornelius was blindly obeying God, giving to the poor and praying to God.
God saw this, Cornelius seeking after Him.
But it doesn’t say his friends and family were.
And the moment Cornelius and his family and his friends heard about Jesus they believed.
We see that moment came before Peter even stopped speaking on Jesus.
That the moment they believed, they received The Holy Spirit.
Simon the Sorcerer had been leading people into magic (Acts 8).
But when Philip came and preached, he and the people around him believed.
So they got baptized in Jesus name.
And then they were given the Holy Spirit by laying on of hands by Peter and John.
So the obedience required to receive the Holy Spirit—the One who leads us to obey Jesus Christ’s commands— is to believe in the One He sent.
The One He sent meaning Jesus.
The One God sent to save all of mankind.
The One God sent to reconnect us back to God our Father.
The One God sent to bring us back into obedience to God’s ways, Jesus’s way’s.
Then the Holy Spirit leads us to obey the rest.
May we know that we know that we know the obedience that brings us life forever, that brings us the advocate, Jesus to live inside us today now and forever, that saves us and seals us for eternity, is to believe that Jesus is Lord and ask Him into our hearts.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus will indeed ask the Father and He will give us another advocate to help us and be with us forever.
May we know that we know that we know the whole reason Jesus came to earth and suffered torture and death, was to save mankind, that we would all believe and become redeemed, given the new hearts, the new Spirits that reconnect us back to our Maker, that we enter His intimate family Kingdom and be His kids for all time.
