Talking With the King
Those Who Will See the Wisdom of the King!!
Those Who Will Exclaim His Wisdom Far Exceeds What We Were Told!!
When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions….she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind. 2 Chronicles 9: 1
Solomon is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.
Solomon was the wisest man to have walked the earth—at that point.
A queen came to ask him and plumb the depths of his knowledge, his wisdom, seeking out answers, to talk to him about everything on her mind.
God is showing us that we can do this, too.
That Jesus—the King of the Universe, the literal Wisest Man that ever Walked the Earth—welcomes us into relationship with Him.
That He is showing us, that we can come to Him to talk to Him about all we have on our minds.
That we can come to Him anytime, day or night, happy or sad, content or in need.
That His communication lines to us are always open.
That like Sheba, we can come and ask Him anything.
That He welcomes us to come and speak with Him, asking Him anything and everything.
For He even gave us the Bible before we even wanted or knew to ask Him questions directly, that we would have His answers and His truth readily available for us all the time.
And since He is the Maker of Heaven and Earth, we can never exhaust His wisdom.
It says later in scripture that Solomon was able to answer all her questions that nothing was too difficult for him to answer.
And that is true of Jesus.
For He is God and made all things and knows all things.
But Jesus offers us more.
Because Sheba didn’t become Solomon’s family, welcomed into the kingdom to live there forever, always drawing upon his wisdom and provision forever.
But we are with Jesus.
He offers us more than just a couple conversations.
We are offered His whole world!
We are offered a lifetime of conversation of wisdom, direction, and guidance.
That when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are given His Spirit to live inside us, connecting us to the source of life, Him.
For the Holy Spirit is the Mind of Christ living inside us.
So we can talk to Him literally about everything and anything.
May we know that we know that we know we are offered the wisdom from the One that created the Heavens and the Earth, the Seas and the Mountains, Who created our Minds and our Lives.
May we know that we know that we know we can come and ask and receive it any time, any place we want it, whether through the pages of the Bible or in prayer to Him and with Him.
May we know that we know that we know that the Maker of Heaven and Earth has welcomed us into conversation with Him.
