Children of the Maker
Children of the Living God!
Those Who Will Live and Never Die!!
and they can no longer die—for they are like angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection. Luke 20: 36
Jesus is telling us about our future in Heaven and Eternity.
That when we are raised back, we will never die.
I work in medical research and maybe because everyone around me is constantly focused on bringing health and healing, I don’t think about death often.
I constantly think about health and healing.
Reading this I thought Wow we are going to become like superheroes.
We are going to take on God’s immortal abilities to live forever.
Like Superman nothing can penetrate our skin.
Like Wolverine our bodies will keep regenerating.
Like Angels, we can reflect God’s light like the sun and shoot across space like lighting.
Jesus in His resurrected body walked through locked doors and showed up at will where He wanted.
So we are going to have some wonderful new experiences to look forward too.
But the one that this scripture brings me the most joy though, is that Jesus calls us God’s children.
That He has accepted us into His forever family.
That He calls us by our name.
That He places His hand on our head and says, Hi sweetie, and welcomes us into His loving arms.
May we know that we know that we know if we have received Jesus as Lord and Savior we are part of God’s children.
May we know that we know that we know that we are headed to a place of complete health where death and sickness and pain and hurts don’t exist anymore.
May we know that we know that we know that we are headed to a forever family with new adventures, new discoveries, new challenges, new learnings, new purposes and new joys that only the best of fantasy book and science fiction books in this life, could have come close to visualizing the good that God has for us, His kids.
