The Wilderness

Sought After Sons and Daughters!!
Chosen Children With God Given Purpose!!

During the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness. Luke 3: 2

John was out in the wilderness.
The wilderness is where we feel alone, lost, unseen, unheard, in trials and troubles.
And yet God sent John the Word in the wilderness.
He was out with the wild animals and living off nature on his own.

But God went to him.
God found him.
God spoke to him.
God gave him His mission in the lonely places.
God encouraged him and spoke to him in the lonely places.
God met him there.

In the lonely places is where God finds many of us.
Indeed, He sends many of us into the lonely places so that we will actually see Him.
That we would seek Him.
That we would know Him.
That we would learn to be led by Him.
And Him alone.

May we know that we know that we know, if we are in the wilderness, the lonely places, if we see our comforts, our supports, even our encouraging people move away for a season, that we would be highly encouraged to know that God is investing in us, seeking us, loving us, choosing to get alone with us, as He is preparing us, like John the Baptist, to start walking in a greater purpose for His Kingdom.
