Theft, Bride Prices, Payments

Those Who Souls Were Ransomed From the Power of Sheol (Hell)!
Those Who Are Served By The One Who Gave His Life As A Ransom For Many!!

Whoever steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep. Exodus 22: 1

A friend of mine said please stop writing on Exodus.
It made me laugh.

But it reminded me that some of the chapters in the Bible aren’t as super exciting to read about.
Especially when we have other chapters of Jesus healing the sick and bringing forth amazing miracles to read about.

But what is so great about these books in the Bible, the Exoduses and Leviticuses, the stuff that seems dryer to read.

Is it is showing us what Jesus paid for, for us.
That this whole chapter in Exodus is showing us what Jesus is covering for us.
For we learn the penalties of our crimes.
Our crimes of our theft,
Our crimes of harming our neighbors in this life.
Our payments that God required for us hurting ourselves, and hurting others.

So reading these chapters, these books of the Bible, should actually give us greater understanding of the love of Jesus.
For it helps us understand what we have really owed God in payment.
Which then begins to open our eyes to His mercy for us.
Which then opens our hearts, filling us with more gratitude to Jesus.
Which then opens our minds and hearts to realize how much He really loves us.
For we see what He was willing to die to pay for, for us.
Which then gives us greater peace and confidence in knowing, He is for us.
Which then makes us realize that He won’t leave us.
Which then allows us to trust Him more in this life, in all circumstances.
Which then allows us to live in His complete joy, the peace that surpasses all understanding, and in the hope for all that He promised elsewhere in the Bible, for us, for our family’s, for our friends.
Which then allows us to be the lights on the hill, the beacon of hope for everyone around us, that still needs to know Jesus.
That still needs to receive what He offers.
That still needs to enter into this Kingdom of eternal life, the only Kingdom, of the only Savior, of the world.

May we know that we know that we know everything in the Bible is there for a reason.

May we know that we know that we know everything in the Bible is there to point us to Jesus.

May we know that we know that we know everything in the Bible points us to Jesus, that we would live in the good that He offers us today, tomorrow, and forever.
