Those Who Find Their Refuge Under His Wings!
Those Who See Heaven Open, With Jesus Standing At the Right Hand of God!
He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing aroma to the Lord. Leviticus 1: 17
I love expounding seemingly unique not understood scriptures.
Reading about this offering my brain forms a huge question mark.
Why was Aaron, the High Priest required to tear it open by the wings.
Why was Aaron not allowed to divide it completely.
Why is then this offering required to be burned on wood.
First, I had to take this in context.
This is a burnt offering of a dove or a pigeon.
When Jesus was born His parents brought an offering of two doves or two pigeons to the temple.
When Jesus was anointed after being baptized, The Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove.
And Jesus calls out to Jerusalem, stating He is like a hen who offers His wings, His feathers to gather, cover, protect His people, if they would only receive Him.
So we see that this offering is connected to Jesus.
Since it is a sacrifice, an offering,
We can deduct that this alludes to Jesus’s sacrifice, His offering.
Wings, doves connect Him through His life to Heaven.
His calling from Heaven.
His standing with Heaven.
His authority from Heaven.
So this offering, shows us where He would be attacked.
Where He would make His offering to God.
Where His sacrifice would come through.
That His sacrifice would come through His standing, His title, His connection to God, His standing as the Messiah, The King of Heaven.
That this was the realm He would be attacked in.
That His role from Heaven is where they would attack Him.
And that is what happened.
Jesus was accused of blaspheming.
Jesus was accused of holding Himself up in Heavenly title.
Jesus was put on trial and condemned for saying He was the Messiah, God, the Prophet, the King of the Jews.
But that through this offering, He would be burned on wood.
Not literally.
But His soul, His will, His emotions, refined, tested,
For He had to choose to surrender His life, His dignity, His titles, His good name, His authority.
For He had to choose to suffer and die on the wooden cross.
For He had to choose to suffer the wrath of God for mankind, on that cross.
The wings were not being divided completely.
Because He only lost His natural life for three days.
Then He is going to be restored.
His title, His authority, His life.
That was going to rise again.
That He would live again.
That He would be restored to His authority over mankind.
That He would rise to Heaven, a place in the sky.
That He would be restored to His throne, His complete titles.
May we know that we know that we know everything in this Bible is about Jesus.
May we know that we know that we know everything is about Jesus so we will see, hear, and believe.
May we know that we know that we know everything in the Bible is about Jesus that we find eternal life, and live forever in His Kingdom and His kids.
