Goodness, Glory, and God!!!

Those Who Will Share In The Glory To Be Revealed!
Those Who are Building Rewards in Heaven That Never Perish Or Fade!!

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 1 Peter 5: 4

Jesus is the Chief Shepherd.
He is coming back.
And when He does He is going to judge all people.
That those of us who have believed in Him will be judged for rewards.
And this is one of the rewards.
That we will receive a crown of glory.

Now I am practical person.
And I don’t clearly understand what crown of glory is or will be.

But I do know this.
God is good.

When I got saved at 7 I knew I didn’t want to go to the bad place.
But it was only later that I learned that God was good and wanted to be good to me, in this life and in the next.

So in this, I realize if God is promising this crown, then it’s going to be good.
That it will bless me for all of eternity.
Probably much greater than my mind can even fathom right now.

Because my mind right now fathoms this shining crown of sunshine on my head.
Which for me, doesn’t sound that big of deal.
For Im not into titles, or my image, or how people see me.

So since God made me and God is good and I have found that in this life, God is so much better to me than I could imagine, I know that even though my imagination pails to understand this gift we are going to receive, I know it’s going to be amazing.

Because He has given me sunshine on the darkest day that lights up my very soul from the inside, where I have gone from sorrow and weeping to joy and belly laughing.

Because He has given me details in my homes like being on the migration pathway of elusive painted buntings, as a birder, having no idea I would be smack dab in the middle of their flights, being blessed with their continual minute beauty every year, just outside my windows.

Because He has given me a magnificent life of seeing the wonders of the world, feasting on fantastic delicacies, and meeting brilliant intelligent, thought provoking, joy inducing, love producing, faith filled people from every walk of life, all my life.

Because He has filled my life with Him, His wisdom, His comfort, His friendship, His kindness, His faithful provision, His perfectly timed blessings that I could not have planned, picked out or arranged for myself.

So in that I look at this crown of glory and go, God, I don’t know what is going to be, but I want it.
For I want everything He has to offer me, His child.

Because my Maker, My Father, the Author and Finisher of my faith, who gave me my personality and my desires and my wants, gives to me, so much better than I can even hope for.

May we know that we know that we know if God is promising us something, we can know that we know it’s going to be even better than we imagine.

May we know that we know that we know if we have not learned yet that God is good, that we would reach out and ask Him to show us this truth.

May we know that we know that we know God is our Loving Father who sent Jesus to take our pain, our suffering, that we wouldn’t have to, so that we could be with Him for all eternity, to be provided for by Him, to live with Him, to receive an eternity’s worth of His goodness.
