Overcomers!

Those Who Discover That Whoever Believes Has Eternal Life!
Those Who Have and Will Overcome!

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. Numbers 33: 55

I read this last night.
And I remembered Paul in the New Testament.
That Paul prayed for God to remove a thorn in his side.
That Paul did this three times.
And Jesus told him, to keep on.
That Jesus had provided enough for him to get through this struggle.

Now there have been big debates on what the thorn was.
And here we see that God shows us what the thorn is.
Those who have chosen against the One True God.
Those who have given themselves to worship and serve false gods.
People who’s presence, will influence and lead us and others away from our faith in God, in Jesus.
People who’s presence, will influence and lead us and others to stop our missions for God, for Jesus.

But there is a big contrast in these two scriptures.

In the New Testament with Paul is the After Jesus has come.
The after Jesus has lived a perfect life.
The after Jesus has laid down His life to save mankind.
The after Jesus has loosed His Sprit, the new Heart, the new mind for those who receive Him as Lord.

And we see Jesus tell Paul, to endure, to keep walking, to keep trusting in Him.
That Jesus will make a way for Him to live through, to thrive through, to accomplish everything God has called Him to do with this thorn, this lost person causing issues in His life.

Whereas in this Numbers scripture, we see God telling the Israelites to move these people far away, to remove them completely from their lands.
That having them near would influence them and lead them to destruction.
That the land they are entering, the Promised Land, needs to be free from them and their influence.
The influence that would lead them away from God, from Jesus, from eternal life, from healing, from joy, from peace, from eternal forever completeness.

God is showing us through this difference, these two experiences, the gift that Jesus is for all mankind!
For before Jesus had come, before He loosed His Spirit to all people, we were unable to overcome influence from the enemy.
So they had to be removed, moved away.
For our natural hearts and minds were bent towards disobedience to God.
Because of Adam and Eve and their choices in the garden of Eden.

But now those of us who choose Jesus Christ as Lord, receive Jesus to live inside us.
That we receive this new heart, this new Spirit that seals us for eternity.
That we receive this new heart, this new Spirit that seals us as God’s forever children, never to be removed.
That we receive this new heart, this new Spirit that seals His ways, His thoughts, His good plans for us, in us, that cannot be taken away.

So now we can walk amongst them, and overcome what is oppressing them.
And even like Paul, lead them all to know the One True God through Jesus Christ, too.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus is bigger than all things.

May we know that we know that we know all people were born with the Adam and Eve hearts bent toward the wrong way, but when we have learned the truth of Jesus, we have His new heart, His new mind that calls us, that leads us, to tell everyone and anyone that does not know this truth, that they be found, that they receive Him as Lord, that they be saved for all eternity, too.

For May we know that we know that we know Jesus came to save All mankind—His creations stolen at Eden— that every nation, every people, every language group, every person, learn the truth and fill His Kingdom of Love, Life and Healing, His plan since the beginning of time.
