14 Generations—

Those Who Find That He Supplies Gracious Words Like Honeycomb!
Those Who Eat Of The Sweetness To Our Soul And Receive Health To Our Body!

Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah. Matthew 1: 17

I love to read the details in the Bible.
Because I have been reading the Bible all my life.
And at times I can forget the power of this book.
Especially, if I just read for the sake of, I need to, or I am supposed to.
For I have read the Bible all my childhood, because I was supposed to.
Nobody told me that reading the Bible was for me.
And words of affirmation have not been my love language.

But when I went through some major trials in my life, that no one, no human, could get me out of, I found such a deep well of help.
I found this Bible, God’s words, were my healer.
I found this Bible, God’s words, were my help.
I found this Bible, God’s words, were my source of understanding of everything I was going through.
I found this Bible, God’s words, held my solution to everything I was going through.
That I have found that no matter the scripture, there is something powerful, important, that is timely, teaching me, literally in the moment of my struggle, something I needed that day.

So reading this scripture, that I randomly chose, by closing my eyes, and flipping through my notepad, to write on it today, I thought, Lord what do you want me to notice today?
What do you want me to expound upon?
Why do these details matter?
How can this teach me and others something we need today?

For there is always, always something awesome to learn from our Father’s words to us.
That we never get bored.
That we realize how kind and loving and specific our God is.
That He seeks to teach us, intimately, directly, daily.

In the grand scheme I see that God, Jesus, is explaining the timeline for His appearance in the natural.
His appearance to set us free.

Then I see that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
For He made a promise to Abraham, on the mountain of the Lord, that the Lord would provide a Son for sacrifice.
For He made a promise to David, that would not fail to have ancestor on the throne.
For He made a promise to the Israelites, that He would bring them out of exile.
And we see that the Messiah-Jesus-coming forth fulfills all these promises.

The number 7 denotes debts paid in the Bible, the year that slaves were to be set free.
And we see that there are double 7’s from each big event that God is mentioning.
So, We see that it perfectly outlines a double portion of debts paid.
That Israel paid double throughout history for mankind to know God.

And this shows us, that they will get the second chance season during the tribulation where they are redeemed, receiving their Messiah.
For this scripture also foreshadows how, when the Jews would receive Jesus the Messiah.
For Abraham first foreshadowed the sacrifice of Jesus.
Then David foreshadowed that would make Him the King/ Savior.
Exile foreshadows that they would not receive Him when He first came as their King, they being exiled away from Him.
But since He came after the exile, we can see that He will come for them again, them receiving their Messiah, their true King, God, Lord, Jesus.
That they get their 2nd chance, their 2nd portion of saving.

May we know that we know that we know God gave us His words, that we have a feast of His love, His truth, His healing, His wisdom every day, that leads us to know Him, to want to be with Him, to want to receive everything He has to offer, which is Jesus, the Lord, the King, and His forever Kingdom.
