His Abilities
Those Who Will Know the Lord!
Those Who’s Fire For Their New Home Will Never Be Quenched!
But Moses said to the Lord, Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me? Exodus 6: 30
For years I have seen this picture in my mind of Moses.
The one who stands at the edge of the Red Sea, completely calm, raising his hands to part the waters, as Pharaoh is breathing down his neck.
And then I read this scripture.
Actually, throughout the whole beginning of Exodus, Moses keeps saying this, Why would anyone listen to him.
God commends Moses for being humble later in the book of Numbers.
And yet I hear the exasperation of God when talking with Moses in Exodus.
Moses was having to learn what all of us have to learn.
It’s not on us.
It’s Him through us.
It’s His power, His strength, His wisdom, His open doors, His everything.
We just need to show up.
And then our God, our Savior, works all the circumstances the He wants them.
He makes the mute speak, the deaf hear, the lame walk.
He makes people hear what He wants them to hear.
He gives our tongues the abilities to speak what He wants us to speak.
He does this.
And we get to stand in awe of how and when He does it.
We get to stand in awe of Him doing a miracle through us, next to us, and even for us.
May we know that we know that we know this life is a time to learn to walk relying on the One True God, through the Savior of Souls Sacrifice, that gave us His Spirit to live inside.
May we know that we know that we know if God is asking us to do anything, He will make the way for it to happen.
May we know that we know that we know that whatever He calls us to do, is actually a hidden opportunity to see Our Father, to see His power, to see His faithfulness, and to fall in love with the One We get to spend eternity with.
