Just The Beginning

Those Who No Longer Look for the Living Among the Dead!
Those Who Know He Has Gone Ahead of Us, To Prepare A Place For Us!

When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. Mark 15: 45

Joseph of Arimathea was waiting, asking for Jesus’s body.
For many people, including the Romans watched Him give up His spirit when He was nailed on the cross.

But Pilate had not seen it happen.
And so asked.
The fact that Joseph was asking for Jesus’s body should have been enough for Pilate to believe.

But God in His great mercy to all people, made sure to include Pilate confirming Jesus’s death.
That the Roman governor, in charge of executing justice, executing criminals, confirmed with his men, that Jesus in fact died.

And God makes sure to let us know, this man double checked on the death of Jesus.
Because God wants to make sure, that all people know, Jesus did in fact die and come back from the dead!

So He makes sure to include Pilates double checking on this fact.
Because He wants us all to rest in the fact that Jesus really was God, the Son of God, crucified on the cross.
So we can know that our sinful nature was really paid for, by God Himself on the cross.
That He Himself really did live again.
That not only did He walk on the earth, after His sacrifice and resurrection, but that He lives still.

So we can know that we like Jesus, though our bodies may expire from this season of life, that we will rise again
That our Spirits will live on with Him, in His Kingdom, of life, where we will be more alive there than we have ever been here.

May we know that we know that we know if we believe in Jesus Christ, we will live!

May we know that we know that we know if we believe in Jesus Christ, we have now entered, true life, that will go on forever, with our Savior Jesus Christ in His Kingdom Forever.

May we know that we know that we know if we believe in Jesus Christ, that this is only the beginning.
