For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before, says the Lord! Jeremiah 33: 11

God told Jeremiah this while he was still in a form of prison.
He was being confined in the courtyard of the guard.
And God sent Him a word of hope.

In His suffering.
In His isolation.
In His despair.
The God of Heaven and Earth made Him a promise.

A Good Promise
A Promise of Hope.
A Promise there is better.
A Promise that what He is going through is not forever.
A Promise God will make everything better.
A Promise that He will restore all that was lost.

First it’s a promise for poor Jeremiah.
Jeremiah who suffered so greatly for his people.
Who is literally in jail because he dared to tell people the truth.
That the invasion of his land, his people will end.
That God will bring him out.
That God will restore him and his people.

Then it’s a promise for the people of Israel.
That after that exile and after the one to come, the tribulation-
That God will restore all that was lost.
All the lands, all the animals, all the homes, all the families.
That they will again be a people with a land.
That they will have freedom to live, to love, to grow, to exist.
First in this life.
And then in the life to come.

Then it’s a promise for all mankind.
That after we have suffered in trials, that He will restore us.
In this life, healthier, whole, more peace, and joy.
Because then we will know Him.
Because then we will see how He provided.
Because then we will see what He revealing in us.
Because then we will see how He transformed us.
And then we will see how He restored us.

And in the life to come.
For this life has seasons of suffering, pain, loneliness for all people.
Because death has touched all people, in some way.
And the life to come, in the new Earth, the new Heaven, He will have wiped every tear away.
He will have thrown death and Hades into the fires of hell.
Then we will have the real lives we were always made for.
Restored, as His eternal children.
Forever Members of His Household.
Living as were meant for, forever, healthy, youthful, pain free.
Led by Him, face to face, every moment of every day.
Secure, safe, with new challenges, new adventures,
Surrounded with those we have loved.

May we know that we know that we know that no matter any real or emotional or physical or spiritual confinement, boundaries, or prisons we find ourselves in today, God-Jesus-have made us a promise, that we can and will be restored.

May we know that we know that we know the first restoration that God-Jesus-are promising through Jeremiah to all people, including Israel, is the restoration of our souls, our Spirits being made whole, being reconnected back to God our Father, through Jesus Christ our Savior.

May we know that we know that we know that this is free gift of restoration is offered to all mankind, every generation, every nation, that opens the way to forever restoration with our Father, in His eternal Kingdom, that provides a never ending, always regenerating hope for today, for tomorrow and forever, no matter our circumstances.
