Open Hands
Children Who Know Where Their Help Comes From!
Those Being Led on the Best Path!
So He went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. Mark 1: 31
I don’t know if it’s from the Bill Withers song, grandmothers hands, or the Rhodan sculpture of hands in Paris, or the hands touching in the Sistine Chapel in Rome, or even the drawings of hands we had to do in High School art class but all my life, I have noticed hands and they have brought a comforting feeling.
And when I see them written about in scripture it sparks my heart.
I think about hands that have lovingly guided me through this life.
Hands that directed my steps.
Hands that pulled me from danger.
Hands from friends, family members and God Himself.
A hand from an angel hit Peter’s side in jail to wake him to get up and escape safely.
Hands from an angel that pulled Lot out of the impending disaster that was about to start.
Hands that generously pulled up Simon Peter’s mother-in-law out of dying and brought her back better.
Hands that tenderly healed the blind, made the paralyzed walk, and cleansed the lepers.
Hands that opened the door to Heaven for all people who want it.
Hands that will lovingly wipe away every tear in our eyes when we see Him face to face.
May we know that we know that we know Jesus the Messiah offers His ever guiding, completely healing, perfectly loving hands out to all people that they would have eternal life with Him, our Father, Full of their Spirit to never be parted with them or all the good they offer.
May we know that we know that we know His hands are open, beckoning all of us now, that we can walk into by just believing and receiving that He is the Lord.
