Those Who Know That The Lord Has Risen!!
Those Who Receive Their Eternal Father Back!!

Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened. Luke 24: 12

Peter had just heard the news that Jesus was alive.
That the women who served with him had found his body gone and angels at the tomb telling them Jesus had risen.
So Peter ran to the tomb to investigate.
Then he got to the tomb and noticed the strips of linen, the tomb opened but Jesus, His body, Himself the person, not there.

Peter was going to be a key witness of Jesus’s life and death and resurrection for the Kingdom of God.
So He needed to see that the tomb was truly empty.
He needed to investigate what had happened.
Peter needed to witness all the pieces that He tell the world.

And in Peter witnessing of the empty tomb, he offers us more details of what was seen.
Because Peter’s first call was to lead Jews to Jesus Christ.
That the strips of linen in the tomb should have reminded the Jews, the teachers of the law, the religious people of that day of the curtain, the veil that separated people from God in the temple.
For it was made of finely twisted linen.
The veil, the curtain that tore in two when Jesus as crucified.
the veil, the curtain that separated the holy of holies section-the section where God’s presence would dwell-from people.
That Jesus left them—strips of linen— in the tomb, that they equate Jesus, His death, with the curtain between man and God.
That we would hear of this and release the curtain, was left behind.
That Jesus’s death opened the way, removed the curtain between man and God.

Because when we receive Jesus, His sacrificial death for us, and then His life again, we are reconnected back to our Father God.
That Jesus His life, His death, His finely twisted linen, His strips of linen, His life torn in two—was what we all needed to enter God’s Presence.

May we know that we know that we know Jesus died and rose again to reconnect us all back to our Father God, that we have eternal life, home with Him in His Kingdom.
