Pilate Declared!
Those Who Speak Life Over Themselves!
Those Who Find The Power of Their Words!!
Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews. John 19: 19
This statement shows us that Pilate-the roman governor- got saved.
That the roman governor— who allowed Jesus to be crucified—received salvation.
For Pilate believed who Jesus was, the King.
That He knew Jesus was innocent.
First because His wife came and told him about her dream, her vision and seeing Jesus’s innocence.
Then talking to Jesus, hearing from Jesus, which completely convinced Him, that Jesus was innocent!
That Pilate even got scared after talking to Jesus, being convicted and tried three times to set Him free.
Pilate ultimately gave in to the crowd shouting to crucify Jesus.
But then Pilate had a sign made, written in three languages, declaring Jesus’s true status to anyone and everyone.
That Jesus was the King of the Jews.
You see Jesus tells us that in the end we will be acquitted by our words or declared guilty by our words.
That we have to declare, to call on the name of Jesus.
That is the only requirement for our salvation.
Everything that happens after, is proof our salvation, but not why or how we got saved.
Moses in the wilderness did not get to go into the promised land (on earth), because He did not speak to the rock-Jesus-calling on His name to receive salvation, even though He did amazing things on earth.
He was our example that our salvation is not based on good works.
But the rebel, the criminal on the cross next to Jesus, dying in his sins, asked Jesus to remember him when He-Jesus-comes into His Kingdom.
And Jesus says to this man, today, you-the criminal-will be with me in Paradise.
This man didn’t do anything but ask Jesus to remember him.
And Jesus said this man would be with Him in the eternal promised land.
God is showing us the only way into His Kingdom—
Calling on Jesus, believing He is who He says He is, and declaring it.
In this, Pilate was saved.
In this, criminal on the cross was saved.
In this you and I can be saved too.
May we know that we know that we know the only requirement to get into the Kingdom of God, the Eternal Promised Land of Eden Restored, is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and state it, declaring it, call on Him, in some way, with our mouths, with writing, even in sign language, and we shall be saved!!!
