To Know God

Those Who Hosts Banquets For The Poor, The Crippled, The Lame And The Blind!!
Those Who Will Be Paid Back A Hundred Fold At The Resurrection Of The Righteous!!!

The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Acts 10:4

Cornelis was a Gentile who followed the One True God.
He wouldn’t have been allowed in the temple.
But he faithfully followed God.
Because he did this.
Because he faithfully prayed to God
Because he was seeking a relationship with God.
He learned the key to God’s heart.
Which was prayer and taking care of weaker people.

We discussed this on my Monday night Bible study.
That the world, nature is focused towards survival of the fittest, us before others, eat or be eaten.
But God’s way is others before us.
That we seek Him and help others.
And in that God ways are fulfilled.

That night before group, I randomly opened my Bible for a word of encouragement.
And ran into Jeremiah 22.
Which states-he defended the cause of the poor and the needy and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me? declares the Lord.

I thought wow.
To know God is to take care of the poor, the needy.
That us doing this is not just to please Him.
That us doing this is not just because it is what God asks us to do.
That doing this is what it means to literally know God.
That us doing this, means we get what makes God’s heart tick.
That us doing this, means we know Him.
That us doing this, means we see Him.
That us doing this, means we have learned what matters to our Father, our Savior, our Lord.
That us doing this, means we have gained His ways, His heart, His mercy, His kindness.

For Jesus who is God, went around setting the oppressed free from the enemy.
From sickness, from shame, from broken bodies, even from physical death.
He protected the needy from the oppression of the religious rule.
He fed the hungry.
And He told everyone of His Kingdom where this heart, this mission will reign.
Where hearts are focused on loving, loving God, loving others.
Where everyone will know Him and live in this love.

May we know that we know that we know to know God, Jesus is to see their heart.

May we know that we know that we know to know God, Jesus is to realize their heart is one of love.

May we know that we know that we know to know God, Jesus is to love others, having a heart for the poor and needy.
